Crossfire cable configuration?

Thread Starter
I recently bought a second card for crossfire, although the second one is a different 'series', it used to work flawlessly.

Recently I was doing some maintenance on my pc, cleaning it out, etc, rerouting the cables, and while I was cleaning my primarcy card, I dropped it by accident and now the left crossfire port is damaged.
My second card only has one crossfire port which is on the same side as my primary card.
My question is, does anyone know if it would hurt if I would connect the right crossfire port with what would be the 'left' port of my second card?

My primary card is still working fine, I put some stress on it and it didn't fail on me, so I just want to know if I can safely ''cross connect'' my crossfire cable without damaging anything.

Thanks to anyone who's able to provide me help.

Give it a try. I reckon you will be fine and it won't damage anything if it doesn't work.

Alrighty, cool, I still have some extra long crossfire cables laying around, so I can give it a try without damaging the cable.

Also, I tried, and it seemed to work for me, it still says it's enabled in the CCC and my FPS are still the same. =)
