I've gotten many laptop screens from them and cables. Doesn't work. The laptop screen works but not with that extension cable. Don't know why...
My guess is that the cable is bad. That cable looks like an IDC type connection, if the insulation of the flat cable isnt pierced on even one contact, it wont have a good connection with the wire conductor within the cable.

You have already verified that the display works, and that with the extension it does not. I would look into purchasing a new cable, or returning the one you got.

I've gotten like 3 extension cables from them. The extension cables just dont work. Are there any other types of extensions other than that one. I have that same extension cable btw.

idk, If your saying that at least one of the three cables is good, then there must be something else going on.

It would be a fluke if all three are bad. If you had a digital multimeter with a continuity checker, you could check to see if all the wires are good, but I doubt you have one of those .

Count number of pins in screen and extension cable. I had many problems when replacing screens in work (especially HP). I hope u understood
