My corsair H80 seems to be falling apart

Thread Starter
So I bought the H80 in August to replace my ancient Zalman 9700 and installed it early September. This is what I found Friday morning when I went to change CPUs. The face cover was laying on top of my graphics card.

While I don't really care how it looks since I don't have a window panel, I was wondering if this will cause any issues with something like warranty - particularly if I were to super glue it back on in the future.

I've already tried pressing it back on to the pre-applied glue strips but they have no stick at all left.
AMD, I give up.

Get some double sided tape, and it will be fine, that is purely cosmetic.

Dont super glu it because that cant be undone.

This is a known issue from one of their first runs. You can RMA it if you wanted to, I would.

Use 3M double sided tape (modders tape). Glue is more orm less permanent, and even if you do get it off it leaves discoloration.

That's purely cosmetic. Just like the first response, double sided tape will do it. RMA will take you good two weeks but it's doable. If you can afford to switch to air cooling for two weeks, then RMA it.

I'd heard tidbits of this happening before, I just didn't expect it in so short a time. It's corsair so I don't think they'd get picky about warranty - but I mainly was just wondering if anyone has been denied based on a DIY fix.

I was thinking super glue for a permanent fix - but I'll look at some double sided tape. I always think of those thick pads when double sided is mentioned so I'll have to look closer for some thin stuff.

Edit: Yes, I know it's cosmetic. I already stated I didn't care how it looks, I don't have a windowed case.

Yeah, Corsair George himself commented on it and the newer units don't have this problem. I know it small thing but you don't know what Corsair will do unless you try. They may just send you a new top for it, or they may send you a whole new unit. I once had a fan controller go bad on my 600T. Corsair sent me a brand new case, and didn't have me send the old one back. So now I have two 600Ts

Mine did the same as I pulled off the plastic protection that was on it when I got it.
Could just stick it back on and it stayed there. Not sure how permanent that is, but as many of the others have said. Purely cosmetic.
