Looking for Some Kind of Cheap Speaker Setup for Party

My mom is throwing a party this friday and needs some kind of speaker system she can hook up to her laptop or iPod Classic (preferably the laptop) for under 150 dollars. The lower price the better, needs to go through a 20x20ft area.

Well, most of it will be happening in a 12x10 area. Doesn't need to be that much better than something like an iHome, which someone used once.

EDIT: NVM, parents thought their iHome was broken. In reality it was just the iPod jack so I plugged the computer into the line-in and it's good to go.
