I know there are already guide threads out there and such but I thought it might be nice to share my experiences with Sandy Bridge idle and load BSODs and try to recount how I fixed them.
It started off with idle BSODs.
First, I messed with the power states. They became less frequent with C3/C6 on Disabled. Then, I did the SSD fix linked in munaim1's solving/fixing 124 BSODs thread. This minimized the idle BSODs greatly, in fact I would say it fixed it along with power states.
Then I got in game BSODs. I then manned up and realized I never bothered stabilizing my OC!
I stayed up till 3:30 AM, messing with PLL, when an astute mod (woot woot PioIsLoud!) told me the 124's I was getting in Prime could also be Vcore...
I bumped Vcore by 0.02, VCCIO to 1.15, PLL to 1.5V (munaim made the discovery, major props to him), and am 7 minutes 1792K FFT stable, improving upon the 10-20 seconds I was before. I will run a Blend test soon to see if I can do 10 hours there.
I just made this thread to share my experiences and save others' pain.
Feel free to post here for details or possibly even help, maybe I can take some load off of poor munaim's shoulders.
Recently, I was having an issue on the P8P67 Pro where I would boot fine but get stuck indefinitely in the "Starting Windows..." screen. Turrican9, also a helpful chap, told me to enable/auto Internal PLL Overvoltage. I chose to leave this on auto. I also updated SSD firmware and reapplied the registry fix referred to earlier on, just to be safe. I am now cured of idle and in-game BSODs!!!

Trust me munaim I am sure you will be well rewarded for this.
Turrican also helped me choose the board back in June and that was greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot guys and feel free to post here if you are wondering what I did to overcome a certain issue! I hope this thread saves you guys the heart- and head-ache I suffered when knowing over $1,000 of parts couldn't even play a round of TF2, type up a document, or chat up a friend on Steam properly. It's all fixed now though and I've attained maximum stability even on my shoddy chip.
