Welp, Biting the bullet. Maybe?

Ok so my original plan was to order one part of my build per paycheck, but then I thought about how if I were to get a dead part I wouldn't be able to RMA it by the time i realized it was dead.

So....

I've decided to buy all but my graphics card in one go.
i5 2500k
8gb G skill Ripjaws @ 1600
ASRock Extreme 3
Antec 750W PSU
32gb OCZ ssd
1 TB Hitachi 7200 rpm

And what I was wondering is how are the Intel HD 3000 Graphics that come on the i5? My plan is to just get the computer set up and working the way i want/need it to and then in 2-3 paychecks (2-3 weeks) buying my GPU.

Nice choices.

And the IGP isn't too bad, however I wouldn't be trying many games on it. Just for browsing/surfing the web and streaming movies etc.

Here's Crysis 2 on the HD3000.. I was hugely impressed with Intel when I saw this video...

Then again, Crysis 2 runs at 40FPS 1680x1050 on Extreme on a Dual Core 2.2Ghz with 8800GTS G92.. so yeah..

Anyway, HD3000 is more than enough of a temp replacement until you get Dedi Cards.

Yea, I won't be gaming until I get the 6950 in I don't think.
This will just let me make sure everything works and let me start setting everything up the way I like it.

Then when the 6950 comes in we can really unlock the awesome.

Its good to hear that the Intel HD 3000 aren't super super ****ty.

Forgot to mention in the OP that I also have a CM 212+ coming and I will be able to go ahead and start trying to hit my goal of 4.5 on the 2500k

Just to inform you, 750W is enough to crossfire 6950s on. If you have that in mind, there's nothing wrong with it, otherwise it's overkill.

Nice parts. Only thing I would change is the OCZ ssd. I've had them go corrupt on me before. You could probably find a Patriot or Intel SSD 40GB or 60GB for cheap if you look out for sales.

The 6950 is an awesome card, try and find one that unlocks to a 6970 I hear really good things about the Toxic version from Sapphire.

a 32GB SSD is really going to cramp your style unless you're absolutely anal about file management.

There's also a Z68 version of that which is what I think he's getting looking at the 32gb ssd.
