Change the flag that you typed in to -configonly and then run the client.

That will let you configure all of the settings again like name, passkey, etc. Then once you're done set the flag back to -smp -bigadv, or whatever you had them set as before.

I think there is an easier way of changing it in linux, but I forget .

.... what lol. Up until now I've only used v7 which is extremely simple and does not require doing stuff in the terminal.

To change the passkey you don't need to use terminal.

Use the explorer and locate the client.cfg file (If you used my guide it should be in /home/username/fah/)

Just double click and it will prompt you to either run it in terminal, or display it. Choose display which will load a simple text editor, make your changes and save. You will have to restart the client, and I think changing it mid-work unit will mean you loose bonus points on that one.

Here's a guide to set up hfm in windows: Win7 hfm

Or, if you don't have another windows machine running to monitor the linux machine over a network, here's a guide for hfm in ubuntu: Ubuntu hfm

Just signed up for Team Canada.

Not sure how this works. Do I just keep folding all the way through?
Or do I have to stop now, and start again at the beginning of the contest?
