Freezing happened within 30 seconds of the Welcome screen. The crash happened in game.

lol, well just run the updater. I don't think it will make a big difference. But I think the freezing on boot is a sata drivers issue.

How do I check the Sata drivers? How do I update them?

No, like I said it downloads but when I run it, it says "Your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements to install" or something like that

O GAWSH! I love Seanwebster! He helped me so much and hes so smart. I apparently needed to change my SATA to achi because it was on IDE and had to reinstall the drivers. The latest drivers werent installed on my computer and it wasnt letting me install them without changing to ACHI.

Thanks so much for your help I really hope that this stops my freezing.

Now that I know that this was most likely the problem I can determine that the crashing in SC2 is my video drivers. I'm using the BF3 beta drivers which are conflicting with my SC2 for some reason. Thanks so much Sean for your help! +REP~!~!@@!#
