Post your temps: Noctua NH-D14 + 2500k/2600k

Post your:

- Processor (2500k or 2600k)
- Overclock (voltage)
- Idle Temp (lowest and highest core temps)
- Load Temp (lowest and highest core temps)
- Ambient Temp (check your thermostat rolleyes.gif)
- TIM (thermal paste)
- Case

To keep things equal, use:
Intel Burn Test, 5 runs, Stress Level: Standard

Here's mine:

2500k 4.5Ghz @ 1.31v
Idle: 36c/40c
Load: 63c/72c (10c difference between cores under load for the 2500k is normal from what I'm told)
Ambient: 25c(77f)
TIM: Noctua NT-H1 (have used AS5 as well)
Case: HAF X

Because the NH-D14 + 2500k/2600k is a popular combination, I'd like this to be a resource for people, like me, wanting to compare temps without having to create a thread every single time.

For the overclock I'm running, my temps feel very high, especially because it seems that most people with a D14 are idling around 25-30c with the same ambient temperature, and at even higher voltages at times. After taking off my heat sink nearly 10 times with making close to no improvement, and going to stock clock with only a few celsius difference(at idle), I have to believe this is just normal then. But there has to be a reason why people with the same exact setup as me are getting such lower temps, and hopefully this thread will show that.

Let's get this started then, and post any tips on lowering temps if you want cool.gif

Bump.

Not one post in 2 hours? I'm surprised, I thought this would be a fun thread, not to mention being useful to anyone running, or thinking about running, this combination.

I didn't adjust anything much in BIOS i just did the Asus CPU Level Up overclock to 4.6Ghz

This is with the Noctua NH-D14 on a i7 2600k

Room Temp= 20°-22°C

The voltage is set to auto but Core Temp shows 1.37v @ Load.

From Core Temp

@Idle
Min Max
30° 33°
32° 34°
28° 30°
33° 35°

4.6@Load - 1hr Prime 95 Small FFTs
Max
65°
75°
73°
70°

Tim is theNT H1 that came with cooler.

Haf X case

At stock speeds i load at around 50°-55°C

I just got my rig together and went into the bios.

-Processor: 2500k
-Overclock (voltage): stock (1.21v)
-Idle Temp: 41C
-Load Temp: Unknown
-Ambient Temp: 70F
-TIM: Noctua NT-H1
-Case: NZXT Phantom (6 fans)

I'm going to reseat the heatsink and apply AS5 once I find it :/.

EDIT: Tried again several times with the Noctua TIM and it's upwards of 45C. What in hell?

SpeedFan shows my cores idling from 28C-34C. With Prime95 They're 50-54C. Is that normal for a stock i5 w/ a NH-D14?

Also why does the bios (ClickBIOS) show such a high processor temp? This guy had a similar issue.
This one too.
