Current system is Amd Phenon II x4 965 oc to 4.0ghz with a MSI 6970 Gpu Thermaltake 775w psu, Corsair H80 and 3 Hannsg HH241 in eyefinity. Looking to upgrade for Crossfire another 6970. Wondering if i can just get a crossfire mobo or would my Cpu be a bottleneck. Really dont wann go with intel was maybe thinking of getting http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157267 for crossfire. And if my Cpu would be a bottleneck what amd cpu would be best thanks for any input

Depends on your budget. I was in a similar situation with a PII X4 955 BE and a GTX 470, it was cheaper for me to get an i5-2500K + a new LGA 1155 mATX motherboard than it was for me to get Bulldozer and an AM3+ motherboard.

If you want to keep your existing motherboard, I imagine you could upgrade to the Phenom II x6 line.

I'm pretty sure that bulldozer will not help so I wouldn't go that route. From what I can see in gaming it is pretty much at the same level as the phenom X4's but comes with a higher power draw. As much as I like AMD I have to agree with the others that a 2500k setup will be best. However if you don't have the money to go that route (I know I sure as hell don't), try looking for a used/refurb Crosshair IV. Geeks.com has a refurb for $120 (free shipping promo code as well):

I also saw one go on ebay last night for 115ish, so it isn't unreasonable to find one nowadays at that price point. If you want an AM3+ / 990fx board, the one you've picked out is one of the best of the bunch. It really depends if you think you will ever upgrade to bulldozer though IMO.
