Recommend me RAM(Memory)

Thread Starter
I have an Asus 1001PXD Netbook with an Intel Atom N455 Processor and 1GB DDR3 RAM.

I'm looking to Upgrade to 2GB's of DDR3 for the hope of some performance increase. I'm looking for decently priced RAM(Memory) with Good timings that I can stick into this thing. I already replaced the HDD with an SSD inside so on that end it helped.

Any Suggestions?

Go to Crucial.com and use their memory configurator to find out what type is compatible. Seeing as how it's a netbook, 2 GB of RAM will definitely improve performance.

Based off of the info from Crucial's website, you can browse around eBay for some cheap RAM.

If you're lucky your motherboard may support more than 2 GB of RAM, but I wouldn't count on it (see what Crucial says)

Already did that 4 days ago....

I already know whats compatible......

I'm looking for recommendations to RAM that has good timings(price isn't an issue).

And yes 2GB is the max I can support... not to mention I have a 3GB Swap File on an SSD.

Remember Ryko that we're talking about a netbook here, not some desktop monster that you're seeking to squeeze every single iota of benchmarking prowess from.

With that said, I don't see how you can do any better than a stick of $15 2GB DDR3 PC3-10600.

I've found when it comes to the netbooks and a majority of laptops, the bios locks the ram timings to the standard. Meaning if the current ram is 1333 CL9, the ram you replace it with will run 1333 CL9. So just look for an affordable stick by G.Skill, Crucial or another major manufacturer.

Ilooked at the specs, and you can run 1333 CL9 or 1066 CL7:

If it were my system, I would pick up this module:
Crucial 2Gb 1333 CL9 for $13.99 w/free shipping
