Thanks guys!... esp whippy! Should I wait for x79 chipsets? or will a current Sandybridge by sufficient to get 60+ frps?

@ Badness... and others. I get 70+Frps on single monitor in BF3 with Ultra settings everything AA and AF all the way up. If i am bottlenecked by my CPU it's not noticeable.

Wait for Ivy Bridge, then upgrade, at 1080P and beyond the GPU is the limiting factor not the CPU, as long as you GPU`s max out at 99% during games without vsync on and your cpu never reaches 100% your not cpu bottlenecked.

I'm sure some games will be held back because of cpu, but it doesn't appear battlefield 3 will be one of them because it's so gpu dependent.
