impressions of going from 24" to 27" for games/movies

Thread Starter
I can't fit much bigger on my desk, and my old TV is busted, my current BenQ 24" is low end for movies, alright for games

I could get a 27" 2ms ASUS LCD and save a lot over TV price

but would I notice much difference 24" to 27", I sit close, and want something bigger

I really like the 27" ASUS monitor I got my dad this summer, it is a lot nicer looking for movies and use than my 23". If you consider higher res ips panel monitors they will blow you away lol. I say grab the 27" and enjoy!

27" in TN is the sweetspot before IPS.

Their current model screen or the low end one's are nothing but terrible. I used to have to sell them. They bled light. Colors were off etc. I then bought my dell IPS. /droooool

IPS would be too expensive for me, but with current worse case senario prices (before all the xmas sales) a 27" ASUS LED 2ms would cost me about 1/2 of a plasma TV (I worry about them next year)

27". Frankly I'd prefer the panel size vs. pixel density. Your choice though.

Going from 1920x1200 24" TN to 2560x1440 27" IPS is an enormous difference. It's light easily night and day. Totally worth the money, IMHO. Especially if you enjoy your "eye-candy" (be it games, movies, or pictures of The Enchantress)

1920x1200 24" TN to 2560x1440 27" IPS ...yeah no brainier, the IPS would be amazing. wish i had the cash for that. lol

I just wonder how much worse (if at all) a 27" with 1920x1080 would look vs 23" with 1920x1080...if not much of a difference...yeah 27" would get my vote as well...hmmm...
