The other setup I wouldn't do, simply because the speakers won't match. See my above response as to why that's important.
Oh i saw it. btw what does bright mean? I don't like artificial sound spersonally. part of why i like my HD 555 headsets (except for the lack of bass which i crank up via my TiHD's eq)

Ear splitting highs.

My definition of bright (personally) is exaggerated treble, and slightly less midrange. "Natural" to me, is closer to a flat response (no notes being any louder than any others).

I personally really like a bright speaker. But I'd rather get natural speakers, and brighten them myself through the equalizer on the receiver.

Bright IIRC means a slight emphasis on higher frequencies. (Not that I partake in the usage of such terms). A goal for most speakers would to have a flat response and a flat off-axis response as well (not counting distortion and excursion and power handling, and all that). If it is "too bright", your receiver does have room correction program which you can manually adjust.

the BIC it is then, i can use the Reciever's Eq to adjust anything if they are not to my liking. I don't like high notes as much as i prefer lower ones. FLAT seems like the way to go for me. It is decided then...I'll go wth BIC. Now to figure out the TV or monitor situation.

GG good luck looking at D6500K charts and nits and cd/m and 24p performance.

edit: Your receiver comes with a room correction option; USE IT.

Measures the response of your speakers throughout the room and tries to compensate for peaks, dips, and room vibrations caused by the walls, furniture, etc. Since the room is what shapes the response of your speakers, this is pretty nifty.
