I see you went ahead and ignored the link and the numerous people saying "Thanks, worked"

Using a proxy to trick a date check is nothing new.

Crash7800 (EA Communiy manager) stated in reddit "Your call, I guess, as to if it's worth the risk. Personally, I'd wait. Definitely won't work for multiplayer, and if it did all you'd be doing would be creating a needless headache for our network staff."
So basically, no.

No, I read it. Still looking at it actually, I just wouldn't trust it at all, end up getting your account banned and losing money and an awesome game all because you weren't patient enough to wait.

BUT HEY, if somebody can actually get this working (for SP obviously) then post a video as proof.

I'm sure there will be multiple videos up soon.

I read something about this on PC Gamer. This was their reasoning (although I forget the article, so no link)....

Different regions have different release dates since shipments are normally made on the same day of each week, and retailers have adopted specific days for video game stock to be added. That is the reason releases are days a part. Video games in the US release on Tuesdays (same with movies, although there are occasional exceptions). I am not sure shipping and retail stocking in the UK/EU could be completed by Tuesday morning.

Once digital distribution becomes the norm, you will see the launch dates converge to the same day. Yet that is a ways away for games that are released on consoles.
