CM HAF 932 Mod Possible?

Thread Starter
I was wondering if someone had done this before. I wanted to get the HAF X but price is a little high so no thank you. But, then I was thinking about the HAF 932 and how similar it is. The only thing that bugs me is the front grill on the 932 because I wanted to place an NVIDIA badge there instead of the CM badge.

My question now is, Can I cut off those plastic bars in the middle bottom portion of the case? I want to cut those off so that just the mesh shows like in the HAF X.

I know it probably sounds retarded that I'm asking this so forgive me but I don't have the case yet and I'm not sure sure if it can be done.

This is what the grill looks like:

Here is what I want it to look like:

Looked at some pictures on Newegg. Looks like the mesh isn't mounted/stuck to the plastic bars. Just keep in mind you're going to have to sand it down a little then paint if you want to look as if it came stock like that.

Well, the problem that I have with the grill is that I want to place a NVIDIA badge in the place of the CM badge. But with the grill, it won't fit that's why I want it removed.

The mesh isn't connected. I just reached down to my case and I can flex the bar pieces with my fingers. You'll have to do some sanding like iKhan said but go for it if you want! Let us know how it turns out if you decide to do it

Yeah for sure! I will probably pick the case up maybe this week or the next and I'll start right away. I'm pretty excited now!
