One Broken PIN on amd 965x4 BE

If my Amd cpu works with one broken pin will i be ok? or will there be any dangers to it? i dont wanna fry anything i also just bought a new motherboard and i heard it can fry it so please if anybody can give me opinions on it.

I doubt it will work,even if it does there will probably be issues. the pin is there for a reason.

Are you using it right now? Does it boot up and work even with the broken pin?

I would just stick that pin into the corresponding position and you should be fine.

You got really lucky that it still works with a broken pin. In most cases, it would render the CPU defunct.

There are pins that are just for ground and this could be the case. Could still work as new and still OC just as good too.

It won't hurt anything to have it installed to see how it goes.

I had a customer come in to the shop with 4 missing pins on his Phenom. We stuck the pins in the holes on the board and put the CPU in and it worked for a few months. I wouldn't recommend it though. I told him he needed a new cpu and it would ruin his board if we couldn't get the pins out but he didn't care.

Yes im using this PC as we speak and its even OC still to 3.8ghz so am i safe? i also am using a noctua dh14 cooler

The broken pin on mine isnt stuck on the board, it just fell off when i was tryint to straigten it
