If its a ground, all grounds go to the same place and are often consolidated from the device. You should be okay. However, in case its not a ground, lots of Prime95 or other stresses to make sure it is functional.

i did prime 95 for 20 minutes and it was good never went passed 48c

well its already overcloked before and after it broke and its working so im guesin gim safe? i dont care if the cpu fails im just concerned if it can damage my brand new mobo and everything else thats all but its working fine as we speak

You should be fine, but like someone else said, just put a piece of lead or a piece of paper clip or whatever is small enough into the socket and it will make contact.
