Bios changes not applying once in windows

Thread Starter
Hi,
i just got my new system up and running (see sig rig) and i have gotten to where i want to overclock it. but when i change all my settings for the overclock and then save+exit, the settings havent changed when i am in windows looking at cpuz... my cpu still downclocks to 1.5ghz and my voltage drops to 0.9v..
why are my settings not saving when i get into windows? because the changes are all still there when i reboot and go into the BIOS again.
Thank you

i will be going to sleep now so i wont be able to reply until the morning.

Disable your power saving options in BIOS. You are downclocking due to these.

There must be a setting you are missing...C1E and EIST disabled?

Honestly...if you can get it stable under load with the max OC with these options on I would run them. No sense running it that fast if it doesn't need to.

Though in my luck I get a better OC with them disabled.

i think i just found the thing i was doing wrong on a evga p67 ftw overclocking guide, you have to keep turbo mode enabled for any overclock to happen.. i am used to turbo mode overclocking it even more so i disabled it, i will post back here if it works
