a hyper 580 i got with my case, how much stable would my pc be with either a

CHIEFTEC APC-850C

or

OCZ700SXS

my pc wont even be that fast or demanding but ive read lots of horror storys...

1 Hdd
2 extra fans
4870 ati changing for something better i think
amd3 board with x4 overclocked to 3.8
1 x dvd drive

or am i wasting money as the hypers fine for just these

580w is more than enough for your PC.

However, if you do decide you want to buy a new PSU, get a SeaSonic made PSU.

None of the above.

A quality 450w would be more than enough though. See this list here.

It also depends on what motherboard you have too. If its a lower end board, then it might not even handle your CPU at bone stock without worry of a fire.

at the moment my cpu is only running 2 cores at 3.3 as the motherboard is crap but again ebays what im looking at 8+2 power phase with heatsink 140watt cpu support is what im watching, and i think ive found one i may buy.

Both of those are solid motherboards.

Seriously though, a 400-500w PSU will be more than enough for any single GPU setup you could possibly do. But it must be a good quality one. It's easiest to just go off the recommended PSU list I linked earlier back.

ok thanks for the advice im in england and a 450 watt psu isnt to expensive either, even on ebay there like £30 or so. also i had another thread about a graphics card in general graphics questions about x fire'in my 4870 and playing quake 3 ect.... would you take a look then see what your opinion is then also please
