Well my main concern is stablility and performance. I'm going too pair the board with a i7-2600k and its all going to be water cooled, but desides those details I'm curious of the stability and performance with htis setup.

owning a i7 2600k, what would you say would be the highest overclock/voltage to have for 24/7 use under water?

it all depends on the chip buddy and what you consider safe/ how long do you want to keep using that cpu usually its 5ghz for 24/7 at 1.45-1.5v, or if you want to play it safe 1.35-1.45 at 4.8ghz. That being said I had a chip that i was running at 1.55v for 5 months at 5300mhz

yea i would defently like too keep the chip alive longer then 5 months. You never had any trouble with your 6990's hooked up to that board at all? can you post a link of your scores using that cpu, mobo, and the 6990's?

Two cards isn't even going to invoke NF200. It doesn't kick in until 3 cards are installed. Reason is its bridged (piggybacking) which introduces latency. According to ASUS performance is better at native x8/x8 with just two cards and no NF200 in the mix.

Does it make a difference that they are two dual-GPU cards?

ah yes, just read that after my post above. So i have to ask, especially the previous owner of the set up I'm thinking of, what do i need to take into account when i go to build this set up as far as the cards and board are concerned?
