so get the 8150.

(but has lower IPC and sucks worse then phenom I for single threaded)

if you cant use more then 4 cores, save some cash and get a 1100T..

if u cn actually use 8 cores.. get 8150

and that fails? k.

it floureshes as a multi threaded monster.

but fails at single threaded.. and even 4 threaded.
what the hell ...?

The 8150 doesnt beat the 990x in multi-threaded apps, in fact it's 30-40% SLOWER than the 990x, and thats with all 8 cores utilized.
The 8150 doesnt even beat the 2600k in multi-threaded apps so stop spreading TOTALLY false info.

Well it does, but the 8150 is clock at 4.6ghz and the 990x is at stock. If you oc the 990x then the 990x will win.

If you are saying he has a 1100T in hand, then take it, but if he's buying - I'd get the 1090T.

nope even stock the 990x still kicks the 8150's ass. There are even just a few benches that it can beat the 980x in and just barely.

1100T if you are gamer ... but instead of 1100T get 1090T -> 100mhz stock frequency doesn't changes something they are the same chip , overclocks exactly the same, save money.

If you were paying, I'd suggest the 960T. Its a 4 core Thuban based processor, that tends to overclock well OVER 4GHz, and has a great IMC for high NB and memory speeds.

The 1100T is the same thing, but with 2 extra cores (the 960T is a locked 1100T).

Make sure you get a good cooler though, so you can overclock the snot out of it.
this is the right answer if you're a gamer. =) only get the hexacore if you know you'll use those cores.

the 960T also has a chance to unlock to hexacore, but, ya know, not guaranteed.

it's $125 on newegg.
