Ok my %^$%$*&%##@*&%, ^%$^#%@@ bleeep bleeep, cat chewed my brand new deathadder cord, this is like 500$ dollars worth of headsets, mice, and other stuff . mad.gif

Anyways after beating the cat for hours:D I patched the deathadder, its working but the cord was completly severed. My lachesis it chewed a week ago, i got to work for like 5 seconds then it stopped again. I definitly need new cords for both. Anyone know where i can get parts. I checked their site, i dont see parts? Am i missing something? Also if you have a dead one laying around i will be your best friend if i can have/buy the cord.biggrin.gif

They don't offer any replacement parts, and don't plan to.

I would suggest taking the mouse apart and soldering in a new usb cord from something else, pm me if you need help smile.gif

Well its actually a plastic harness at the end of the usb cord. I had a cheap hp mouse that has the same harness , it fits but the wires dont match up.

It is Good advice ,I have already thought of this ( stupid cat)biggrin.gif i just hate wireless. I do have a decent wireless mouse( logitech m705) its not good enough to game with. Never tried any of the high end gaming wireless mice though!

How is the g700/mamba ? Do they perform as good as wired?

ive played with the mamba on occasion (my friend has it) the response time and sensitivity and is NOT noticeably different that to my lachesis, the only issue you will have with the mamba is if you will like the feel of it, i personally dont, prefer my lachesis

hope this feels biggrin.gif

Yeah i had my Lachesis for a long long time, So nothing feels as good to me either. I thought the mamba looked closer to the lachesis than the deathadder. I really dont like the way my deathadder feels yet , but it works.

I could always just kill the cat! its my ex gf,s anyway, who moved out and dumped it on me!! LOL jk

I see that Ebay has after market Chinese made cords, scroll wheels and covers.

I just searched "razer deathadder".

I am sure that at the time of this post, the parts were not available.

Just fix it manually. Use scissors and cut off where the cord is broken at both parts, there's a bunch of tiny wires inside. Remove the rubber and isolation, connect copper wires of matching color to each other (just twist them together) and wrap some plastic insulated tape around each. Wrap some tape around the whole thing, done.

Did that on my old broken diamondback plasma, which the wiring snapped for. Works fine, I even the part where the wiring was repaired inside the shell so no faults on the cable is visible aside from it being a bit shorter.
