GTX 580 Temps

Thread Starter
Hi i ran future mark for well 30mins or so highest GPU temp was 54C mostly the temp was 47c with a room temp of 28c. how ever my cpu hits about 66C under prime after 20mins is the XSPC raystorm bad.

Well according to Nvidia the GTX 580's max operating temp is 97 Celsius, which makes your temps about right. CPU temps look alright, though I don't really know as I don't have much experience with watercooling.

I live in Aus too and my air cooler has to contend with Spring's hot weather, though I don't know if water cooling is affected that much by ambient temps.

What are your Idle temp's? I have yet to run my 580's under any stress, Same with my CPU.

580 idle for me is 25C
CPU is 31-37 core 0 being the hottest at 37.

Is your 580 overclocked? If so, that's pretty good. If not, it's not bad either given your ambient temps.

Also, your CPU temps aren't bad given your ambient temps.

Things like furmark, occt are no good for that card. It will throttle. Use things like Heaven, crysis bench, 3dmark etc.

I honestly think you need to stop posting temp threads lol.. Each thread you post people give you the same answers.. It's almost like you where expecting below ambient water cooling temps..

Let me just say this.. If your temps are within the safe limits, I honestly don't see why you should be worrying.. Like I said in your other thread, We live in Australia, So don't expect super low water-cooling temps because we both know that Australia is stupid when it comes to the humidity here.. The only time you should be worrying is if your Temps are 75+ when water cooling with the ambient you have.
