i already had the bitspower grill and im not too fond of the acrylic grills on the body panels, i went for the grill you see in my pictures, it was like $8.00 on ppcs and i needed a few other things as well, thanks though!

I rarely applaud spray paint jobs but when I do they are on top of Self Etching Primer.

ya, a good buddy of mine does auto body work and he tells me when he needs to spray something small (and doesn't feel like setting up his spray guns/booth) he always uses self etching primer, even though he sands

heres that promised update... a bit late but here none the less!
here we have the case (io plate, bottom, front, mobo tray) riveted together

here we have the drive cages painted up real nice nice

here we have the drive cages (top and bottom loosely installed the way they were originally)

here we have them loosely installed sideways... you see my problem in that pic? a few problems actually! see note** at end of post!

heres a pic without the bottom drive cage (ya i thought about it... so what?)

and here it is loosely assembled with everything in place the way it will be in the end (you cant tell in the pic but the top isnt on yet, still drying and no worries nothing is riveted in yet except, what i like to call "the frame" is riveted together)

this is it->note** if i mount them sideways they their is no reason for my to put a 120mm fan in front, their are a few other issues with turning them but that is my biggest problem because if i turn them then their will be a solid wall blocking the front fan... so right now im up in the air between having no internal 3.5" drives, having them all the way they were originally or maybe just compromising and keeping 1 or 2 in their so the front fan will be able to get plenty of air into the case

heres when i just had the 2 3.5" bays and the 5.25" bays in (i decided to cut them down since it would just be so much simpler than trying to turn them and if i ever want to put a long card in there i can!)
hddcages.jpg

so its finally fully assembled! i still need to put the lexan on the side panel and i'm thinking I still want to do some cosmetic mods to the front... really like the way it turned out
