Prediction (aka Angle Snapping, Drift Control, Correction) helps you to draw straight lines: the mouse tracking corrects (removes) the minor deviations from your line, making it as straight as possible, up to certain threshold, which varies from mouse to mouse (some mouse has more prediction than others). Ideally, a mouse should have the option to turn off the prediction, but there are plenty of mice with inherent prediction that can't be turned off."

If u go through the sticky, u'll realise there's a number of grips, u have to assess which grip suits you and then going through the questions u can decide which is the better mouse.

Apart from what is being said, id suggest u go to a shop if u can were u can 'use' the mice to understand how well u can grip several mice and how they suit u (some shops have 'mice' on exhibition).
Thanks a lot, didnt actually occur to me to look ont he helpful forum first. (duh) Ill have a read up, i must admit we dont have very good computer shops here, i went and asked in PC world once if i could take a look at a keyboard, and see what it was like to type on etc... if they had one out for demo. They looked at me as if i was weird and asked me to leave the shop! So i doubt they will be too welcoming if i asked the same abotu mice. the best i can do his hold the mouse whilst still in packaging... which only works on some of them!

I have used the Saitek stuff before, had the Cyborg. ye the gimick of it matching to my hand was cool, but after the first 5 mins it was a bit "uumm... now what?" I wouldnt go back, and tbh for my level of use it appears to me that the rats would be much of the same. they are probably good mice, but i was a bit turned off of them. espescially when my Performance showed up... Just wish they did a cabled version!

I have a R.A.T. 7. Its not worth it. The sensor sucks, the slightest piece of dust makes the mouse unusable. It looks nice but has much less buttons that other mice in its price range have. Also that horizontal scroll is basically useless.

My vote goes to the MX518. I've had mine for, what, six years now? Still going strong. The Logitech logo on its back has faded a bit, but that's it. That's the only way you could tell this mouse isn't fresh from the assembly line. Well, that and some grime, but that cleans right off.

I would look at Logitech mice if you want durability (and a good warranty service). They are sturdy and perform well. MX518, or G400/G300 would be good producs to look into. Or another MX Performance, which felt great to me when I used a display model.

I just bought a Deathadder and I would recommend it, except i does have a flimsy sort of feel to me, but it is a great shape (very comfortable) and tracks well.

This is all opinion so take it as it is,

Good luck.

G400 is very slippery so it's hard to lift up.

I also didn't like the shape of it, but that's just personal preference.

Sensor is awesome.

Ive been looking around, and stayed strong! Not bought anything yet, and i have had a look at the suggestions and i am intrigued, and more confused than ever!

has anyone ever used a MIONIX Naos? looks like a good price, and its a name ive heard before... just cant remember if it was followed by good or bad news.

http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=46456

So far out of the suggestions the winner to me is the CM storm. I have found on on my usual site which looksgood, and in the most shallow way possible would match my keyboard (it has a red light on it!)

http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Perip...roductId=46091

That said I do love Logitech, they make very too input devices, however i went to my local pc "shop" today and looked at a few, they didnt feel as plasticy as they looked (if that makes sense) but i wasnt completley sold....

im not deliberatley being awkward honest!
