dual channel adds complexity to the memory controller, thus adding transistors and power consumption. Also, adding an additional 32 traces increases design complexity and costs. Adding a second RAM stick also consumes power. The added complexity and power consumption is why "Kal-el" only has one.

Personally i am not even going to bother looking at Tab specs anymore. If it does or runs certain things then i will upgrade. Trying to keep up right now its a bad idea. HC Tabs with T2 just came out and they are getting replaced. At least iPad has 1 year life.

True, everything is about transistor budget and power consumption vs benefit.... it will take some benchmarking to see if memory is a bottleneck yet (I think it will be).
