If you don't mind going used you can find gtx 570's around that price point. If you wanted to go ATI you could find a 6950 that will unlock to a 6970 for around the same amount.

Why not SLI a second 460 for only ~$150 or less?

If heat nor power issues are to be conserned with:

460 sli and upgrade later when Kepler arrives. Or at least try to wait xD

If they are a hassle for you then 6950/560ti

Personal tip:

If you are going for a 6950 get a 2GB version. If you dont think you "need" or dont want a 2GB (id say you do anyway) get the 560ti.

Pretty much this ^

Although, like accskyman said, you might be able to find a used GTX 570 here on OCN for around the same price. 460 SLI would put you about on par with a single 570/580 depending on the game and how well SLI scales. So if you're looking to save some money and your motherboard can support it, go 460 SLI. Otherwise, look for a 560Ti or 6950.

and hopefully get a bargain. My gtx 460 serves me well for now and I just bought a crucial m4 128gb sata lll I can wait a bit longer.
