no wait your using the h80 right? go in to bios, only things you change are: auto overclock to manual, then multi to 46 and vcore to manual and set 1.35. Boot in to windows and run 3d11, once it passes get prime95 and run blend for lets say 2h, watch the temps so they dont go over 75c (shouldnt any way but just in case

okay will do, gonna set alarm earlier today/tomorrow to do it as i wake and go back to sleep for 2 hrs

but when you say run 3d11 and have it pass do you mean once its finished or is there a test to see if its failing or passing. as long as it runs through all the way on benchmark im fine right?

and yup h80 with 600t case

Since some terminology is different, I changed CPU Ratio Setting to Manual from Auto.

Max Ratio is at 34 which I assume translate's to 3.4GHz, so I should change that to 46 correct?

The Host Clock Override (BCLK) is at 100.0 MHz

and Core Current Limit is at 150

Here's a picture of what I see:

If you go to the GTX 580 overclock thread and check sig rigs, most of the cards are MSI Lightning, anyway. Nonetheless...

Whoa whoa kids SLOW DOWN. There better be one left when I order my 2nd card tomorrow!

As for on-topic, I got nothing. Haven't played w/ volts yet. At stock, I'm around where you are: 860mhz core (shader linked), 2100mhz memory. Looking forward to playing (carefully) with volts.

Thread Starter
Just go to +115mv on the core voltage at set core to 910MHz, then just fine tune it. I havent fine tunned it but I got 920MHz on the core w/ +113mv. No crashes doing 3 runs on the Metro2033 benchmark. PLayed battlefield maybe crashed like 2 times, I figured it is game related since its new.
