Free i5 2400 + H61M?

Thread Starter
Well, I'm back. I currently have an i5 2400 + MSI H61M(paid nothing for it) sitting in a backup system, but an i5 2500K + Z68MA in this main system. I was wondering on advice as to whether or not I should keep this i5 2500K or sell the setup and buy a second TF2 GTX 580? Or should I sell the 2400? Either way, I'm bound to gain a few bucks.

There's also a deal on another i5 2500K for 150 locally, so I could jump on that if the need arises.

Are there any cheap SLI capable boards for 1155 socket? Maybe Asrock's lineup?

I just want some thoughts. Thanks!

Just give it to me.

Or you could always sell it and put it towards another GPU (570?).

Sell the 2400 set up, why have a back up system, it is a waste of space IMO.

Sure, just give me another 580 and we'll call it even.

I just sold that this weekend, I have a TF2 580 otw. Got it for 350

Sell which one lol - Would a stock-clocked i5 really bottleneck two 580's much?

It was for a relative, but they aren't using it or really need it I dont believe. I guess I could get rid of it..

Clearly sell the i5 2400 setup...Keep the overclocked 2500k.

Depends on the game or program really, but its not like you could get much better right now anyway (besides an overclock, and for lightly threaded programs). If you absolutely never plan on overclocking, you can get more cash out of the 2500K and Z68 and you won't notice the difference between the 2500K and 2400.

(Im assuming its for gaming with the two 580s)

Edit: oh wait... you already did overclock. Keep it.

Well, if you aren't gonna give it to that guy I'm always here to accept donations.

But really, why not sell it? Not doing you much good at the moment.
