If I were to put the fans on top like you said, should the fans be blowing down ontop of the rad, or Pulling air up from the top of the rad? 2. Are compression fittings good, like these bitspower ones? http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g30/...ion-Page1.html Thanks for all your help Andrew, REP+.
You need jhave have a play with that, but....... Push works better than pull by a good amount in my testing.

I ordered RS240 kit to do the exact same thing with my SLI gtx470's. I just put the top one under water, because I too had a cramped mobo, and the top card got up to like 95C really quick. I just did the one GPU, but the RS240 worked fine for that. Are you planning on both GPU's under h20?

Nope, only the top card here too. Great minds think alike.

Cool man, yeah It worked great for me, until I fried one of my gtx470's. Stupid incident with a copper penny. I went cheap, and got a MCW82 GPU block + Swiftech heatsink, found it on sale for $60. Like I said, I fried one of my GPU's, so I just got a gtx580 to replace it in my main rig.

I now have my one working GTX 470 sort of under h20 w/ that swiftech heatsink, and a h50 in my HTPC.

I was planning on a Danger Den waterblock that's 84.99, hope that doesn't cause me any troubles. >.>

have you taken a look at the new rasa es240 rads? its a similar size to the rs240 but cools just as well as the rx240, without the added thickness!

Cool man, should work out ok, I couldn't find a full block under $110 when I bought mine, otherwise I probably would have went that route.

If you want to save some money you could try the h50 route. I can check tonight to see if I have enough clearance for another card with the h50 solution. The board I'm using in that pc is a evga p55 sli, and there is like no clearance with 2 cards in the PCI-e slots.

[edit]
update, it didn't fit my mobo. I'd stick to what you're planning, or just a custom loop with a little pump, and a 120, or 240 rad, and a t-line to fill/bleed. you probably don't really need a res for one gtx470. I do understand the appeal of the kit, it is rather cost effective.

I think you are referring to the EX240 rad?
