sata dvd burner install?

well i upgraded my pc and had to buy a new dvd burner cause the 2 i have are EIDE drives. i was wondering does it matter which sata port i us 3 or 6gb? and is there anything i need to do in the bios or is is still plug and play like the EIDE drives. thanks

It's just plug and play pretty much. Sata port doesn't matter. A dvd drive won't use all that bandwidth anyway

EDIT: Just go into disk management to change the drive letter around to your pleasing if you have multiple hdd's and opticals

an optical drive will not fill up the bandwidth of a sata3 port, use an open sata2 port
