Anyone have any experience in this department? I've never even looked at stands so what are some good brands and good stands?

It will be housing 3x24" monitors. My budget is around $500 but I'll look at all suggestions above and below.

I don't want junk! These monitors are expensive! biggrin.gif

You know what bugs me.

How all these name brand companies come out with AMAZING products and make them look like poop. I guess it's all opinion (I think the AW2310 is disgusting).

Which is more ergonomically pleasing, a triple monitor stand or three individual monitor arms?

My main reasoning for getting the stand is because three monitors take up a lot of desk space. I have no room to do anything else. I got a new desk and never even considered the arms as it appears that they need to mount from the back and it looks like they screw into the desk from behind.

Has anyone had any experience with either? Or both? Which do you like more?

I recommend Chief mounts and stands. I work for an AV integrator and we constantly mount LCDs, projectors, etc. and I always specify Chief in my proposals. Superior product to any of their competitors. The Chief KTP320B might work for you, but they offer several other triple monitor solutions you may like better. Whatever you choose, choose Chief. You will never be disappointed with their stuff. Check out their website for current models, etc.

Well I think I have re-evaluated my purchase.

I think I am now looking at getting three individual desk mount arms for my three 24" monitors. But now I need to find three that will work.

My desk is literally pushed up against the wall, maybe an inch or less from it so something without an elbow that will scrape would be ideal.

Originally, I really liked the looks of the Ergotron LX arm. It looked like it would fit without bumping issues and the color was perfect for my room (red and black). Unfortunately, it is discontinued.

After some browsing around I found the Ergotron Neo-Flex Extend which looked almost identical, perhaps as a cousin, but it's not in black (or at least I couldn't find it), which is a no-no for my room:

Then I found the Ergotron LX. The new cream of the crop apparently. Unfortunately, this thing is a giant, and in a few reviews I saw complaints of bumping/scraping the wall, and in some cases not even fitting because it's so large. Also as mentioned, I am not looking for anything flashy - simply black. Some users also complained about the chrome and why not just go "back to black". It's VERY well built, or so I read, but it's gigantic and not tasteful colorwise:

I also checked out some of the Chief stuff but their single arms aren't nearly as appealing looking as the Ergotron, though their triple arm stand is nice.

Has anyone ever tried or heard of the Innovative Model 7500-1000-232 stand?

Apparently it's about 200-300 each but it looks well-built and seems to suit my needs. I wonder if anyone has any pictures of a three monitor set up with this stand?

Has anyone ever heard of it?
