Overclock a powerful cpu and do what, exactly ? - Page 3

Do 3d graphics/modeling and fold when it's just sitting idle or relatively idle.
That's what I do with mine.

that if you havent figured out something to do fun w/ your comp yet you probably arent going to. I mean really, there isnt an elephant in the room and theres no massivly secret fun activity that exists that you dont know about. The rabbit hole really only goes so deep

aka time to turn the comp off and go outside, explore hobbies sans your CPU

Ever heard that the saying "Focus on the journey, not the destination"? Overclocking isn't all about the end performance.

Why waste the time lamenting the lack of use for your computer? Shouldn't you try finding something fun to do rather than flame baiting a forum?
AMD, I give up.

you came on asking for advice, you get it and just come up with exceuses not to do any of it.. perhaps it is time to get outside more, maybe have more of a life than your computer if all you can do is this.

your right, this is a computer form and we do offer advice. but we can only offer so much when you shoot everything down. so in part my advice would be to unplug it, go out with the wife/husband, and have a great time.. getting out can be a great thing, or even sitting on the couch together and watching a movie, or talking.

Countless system stressing things that ARE fun to the majority of the people on OCN have been named. If you don't think any of these are fun, why the hell do you have "powerful" rig anyway? Honestly I'm starting to think you're either a major troll or you're just confused and don't quite know what you want out of life, neither of which we can help you with.

did it escape you that, if it was that easy to find an answer in this condition i have, i wouldnt need to ask it in an overclockers' forum ?

it is curious how and why 'life' wants comes into question. i asked what i could do with a powerful computer, with the conditions i have.

there may not be a positive answer to this question. this is possible. and i am here to make sure whether there is, or isnt a positive answer to that question.

any person who thinks such a question with such conditions is trolling, does not need to answer and waste characters at all.

anyone who actually can provide an answer, even if to the negatory, is welcome.

Well, personally I think the best thing anyone can do with a computer is
converse with many different people across the planet...share thoughts,
ideas, feelings...and have a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips.

This doesn't really require a "powerful" PC, but it can help

Also, please give us your definition of "fun".
