2TB drive with physically robust/sturdy exterior incl. sata ports.

As the title says, I need a 2TB drive with a physically robust exterior and sturdy sata ports (data & power). I don't plan to drop-kick it, but I will be using it for non-critical extra storage and backup in the exterior SATA port (not E-SATA) on the Corsair 650D case, as shown on the picture below. I'll plug it in when necessary and then put it back in the little plastic container when done, so the sata ports will see some wear and tear. SATA-600 would be nice I guess, but my main concern is build quality rather than speed.

How is the WD Caviar Green WD20EARX 2 TB for example? No one seems to review how robust they are.

Cool thanks And they are fairly cheap too, which is a bonus.

How does it work in practice with regards to knowing when it's safe to unplug the drive? Just whenever it's done copying and such? I am partly thinking of stuff like the write buffer and whatnot.

I usually just disconnect the drives by clicking the safely eject icon in the button right of my taskbar when I am done. I have never had an issue with file corruption either. Everything works great.

It even works fine when I forget to eject them lol

Ok thanks.

Why not use e-sata? Those data and power ports are fragile. External cases are cheap.
