Is this a good temp?

Thread Starter
I have no idea about what temp i should be getting under water. I just finished my first watercooling build last night and i just overclocked my i7 920 do to 4.0ghz. She is holding between 34c and 38c idle. Are these good temps?

edit: i havent used prime 95 yet

Id say those are good temps but the temps under load are what matters the most. Update your profile and put what parts you have in your system. Also let us know what parts are in your water cooling setup.

Yeah id say the idle temps are good. Run that thing on Prime95 for a bit and see what the temps max out at.

On idle those are not good temps. Especially not with two rads and one 580.

My i7 950 used to idle in the low 30s when on an NH-D14 in a 72F room when overclocked to 4.0 @ 1.28v.

What are your ambient temperatures and the voltage you are using?

Might as well just fill this in.

according to CPUZ my core volt is 1.208v.

Not really good at overclocking.

Don't worry about idle. Lets see some load temps, thats all that matters.

Idle temps reflect nothing except your ambient temperature. Put your rig on 100% load and tell us:

- temps on cpu
- ambient temp
- how much rad and what kind of fans you have.

Good?
