I'm not good with older CPU knowledge, so I can't help you with the CPU choice.
Thought I am curious why you want DEATH 0 (RAID 0)... I mean, when 1 HDD fails the whole array gets corrupt, it's be safer just to keep them separate.
Other than that it looks solid. xD

HORRIBLE cpu choice. Get a q6600 or q9xxx.

Agreed... Get a 2500k and a new board and such... Also, that ram won't run on the board u suggested... Get 1600mhz ram, and if u r going for 3-way RAID 0, I would get a fourth drive and just use RAID 10... There are too many things that can go wrong with optical drives to do straight up RAID 0 IMO... Otherwise, it looks prity good... May I ask y u picked such an old CPU and mobo?

If this, put in 12GB of RAM as well at least.

? no... you wont even fully use 8 for gaming... also 12 on db would require 3 sticks... either get 8 or 16 (i dont see any reason for u to get more than 8 tbh)

And what's wrong with 3 sticks? Seriously, you knowledge is lacking, last time I checked the majority of new Mobo's have 4 DIMM slots. Mention dual channel and that will prove your ignorance. 8GB for a SB build is low. And with the amount of programs that use up a lot of RAM. It's good to have headroom.

plz dont get all defensive... i didnt mean any offence... i simply didnt want the OP to get any wrong facts... as of right now, it is a bad idea to use half of one channel and the whole other one if you want any kind of OC stability without crazy voltages... it hasn't realy been acceptable to use 1/2 of a channel and a whole other one since DDR1 (no offence)... also, most people wont ever use their full 8GBs, much the less 16GBs... 16GBs is more of future proofing/ epeen for most people (not to say some dont need that and much more if they heavily multitask and use CAD and such)... if you dont believe me, ask around... all i said is true... also, 3 sticks on SB is horribly unstable (and theoretically could degrade CPU, though i have never heard of it happening)

@OP
just stick with kits designed for SB... they will either be 8GB or 16GB as a general rule... if you get RAM any faster than 1600MHz (with is unecesary for u IMO), then make sure it is all one kit (ex. dont get 2x 2133MHz 8GB kits cause it is likely they wont work together)... good luck on your build

Oh boy, where to start with this one...

3 sticks of RAM will run in degraded single-channel mode on the board. Dual-channel is acheived strictly with 2 or 4 sticks of RAM. Memory cannot run in dual-channel with 3 sticks, period.

8GB of RAM is "low?" Low for who? Not even games exceed 4GB.
