Overclock to 4.8GHz passes LinX but BLUE SCREEN on Prime 95

Hi everyone

I am new to OCN (this is my second post). I have some overclocking problems. I overclocked my CPU Intel i5 (2500K) 3.3GHz to 4.2 and everything went OK (LinX + Prime 95 stress test).

After I overclocked it to 4.8 passed LinX stress test rinning 20 times with problem size >25000 and then a second time running 75 times -CPU temperture stable between 65 and 71 degrees celcius-. System stable and no errors. Then, I started Prime 95 to make sure that everything was OK and pretty convinced that it was going to run smoothly but after 15-20min I got that blue screen...

What would you recommend me to do? Is testing on LinX and Prime 95 relevant enough to make sure my whole system is running OK?

Note: when I use prime 95 to run a stress test I use the default option "Blend"(lots of RAM tested), there are two others Small FFT's and In-place large FFT's.

My system:
Motherboard: ASRock P67 Gen3
CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro Cooler H80
RAM: 2x4GB

I'd also try the "maximum heat" setting, it's good to know that if you pass that, your temps won't be the one causing the BSOD. Also good to know they'll remain within reasonable limits with whatever you're doing.

This is common, its because IBT/LinX is a terrible stress test. A custom prime95 blend with most of your ram is the best bet, don't waste your time with IBT/LinX.

Do you think I should downgrade to 4.6 and try again?
Derp, if I use the custom settings on prime 95:
- What Max and Min should I set FFT size? (I dont know what FFT is, sorry )
- Should I mark "Run FFTs in-place"? (I dont know what "in-place means )
- How much of the memory should I use? Knowing that I have 8GRam (this time I know )

You didn't mention how much vcore you gave it at 4.8, but, generalizing, it's likely you need a little more.
