Wanna tune my new rig to the nuts

Thread Starter
hey there overclockers, im new to the forum and just wanted to say hi and see if you guys might be able to help me on my quest to unlock my new rigs full potential
I have alot of questions lol, so here goes....
I recently put together my tower, and have already overclocked the cpu by simply increasing the multiplier from x18 to x20, producing ~200mhz x20= 4000 mhz, without increasing voltage. I have done some research and its my understanding that by increasing the bus frequency from 200 to say 250 and decrease the multiplier to x16 for example , i would see better performance despite the speeds both equaling 4ghz . what i dont get is that by changing the bus speed it simultaneously increases my ddr3 ram frequency from 1333. I just wanted to see if that is supposed to happen, and also I wanted to know if there would be any point to increasing the NB and HTT frequencies, and if so how should i go about tweaking them, since i dont wanna tweak with those settings if im still playing around with the cpu frequency.
Also i should mention I ran prime 95 last night with no errors, so everything is all good, but i wanna try and get my rig prime.
Thanx for looking, any feedback is good feedback

Nice rig. Print out the pdf in my signature, and take a look at the other guides here on OCN.
