I run my H100 exhaust out the top in a push/pull configuration. OC'd to 4.8 and running torture tests and realtemp and havant seen my I5 go over 53*C. Im prety happy with that.

In your opinion, is it worth going after 2 more fans for this coolers? or the 2 that came in the box are enough?

Honestly I havent attempted to run on 2 instead of 4. Its working so well with 4 for me that Im not gonna bother to change anything.

Im just running the stock H100 fans as the pushers and a couple of realy cheap CM from a 4 pack that i bought last spring for $15 USD as the pullers. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103052

Fans are so simple to change and rearange, so not realy a big deal to try different configurations. If the cheap ones dont hold up, no biggie, I'll just get better replacements.

So for me the extra $7.50 for 2 extra fans was worth it at 5 times the price. And with the stock and extra fans in my rig, most of the fans are only running at @600-700 rpm and are more or less silent. I do run the H100 pump at max setting. I hear the pump and video card over the case and H100 fans.

I use mine as exhaust as I don't feel like having the H100 add heat to my SLI setup.

My temps in games are still around 50c and i think something like 70c on IBT @ 4.8GHz w/ 1.425v.

I'll take a few degree hit from the CPU to save heat from my GPUs.

Up to you though.

I just noticed your from Brazil. So I guess I would have to ask , do you have and run house AC when its gets above 30*C or when its gets humid? as I am under the impression that Brazil does both most of the time.

If it were my pc and my pc room saw high temps and humdity, then I would run 4 fans in push/pull without even questioning it. Its only 15*C here today where i live, and I keep my house cool...windows are open!! So I could probably discoenct all the H100 fans and still cool with just the case fans.

It is pretty hot, yes, and 30 celsius up is common.
One of the things I always aimed to in my life, though, was to get 24/7 air conditioning in my room, and I accomplished at least that (I have low expectation in life, yes), so I'm happy biggrin.gif

constant 22-24 celsius when comp is in use.

One thing, though... since I'm afraid to synch different fans, woundnt it be better to synch same brand fans in push pull?

Therefore, half the radiator would have one corsair fan pushing and 1 pulling, and the other would have the other pair. I think the difference in different halfs, as performance goes, would mean less than out of synch config.

I have the stock corsair fans as push and 2 coolermaster sickelflows as pull. Lowered temps at idle and load. My idle temps usually stay in the high 20c.

I'd prefer to use it as intake because of
- cooler air from outside
- negative pressure thus your case will push air out of the tiny crevices and cracks (I find this has less dust)

But its really up to you, I dont think the temps will be that much different.

This.

I dont know if theres much of a problem mixing fans. I tryed to locate 2 of the OEM fans that came with the H100 and couldnt match them. The H100 fans arent anything realy special...just the basic cheap import pc fan. So I didnt fret to much about mixing them. So far no issues. All are plugged into the H100 pump unit, so that should all be running @ the same speed. If there was a major imcompatabilty, it would be noticable. More likely the turbulance between the 2 would cause noise.

Or unless you find 2 of the same to match, just use 4 of something that are the same if it realy is a concern. The way the H100 works as is, it has only just the built in speed control on the pump. And thats no guarentee that 4 like fans are running exactly the same speed. Untill Corsair releases their controller for the H100 theres realy no way to fine tune the fans anyway.

Have you checked out the Corsair forums? Lots of info on the H100 instalations. Im very sure that was were I have read many threads about the H100 set up in a push, push/pull, and pull only config. If I remember correctly push/pull was always the hands down coolest solution.

it really is different for each case and setup. The best way is to test both methods.
