Given SB 2500k and 2600k seems to trump the FX-8150 quite well.My questions is what about the older I7 processor specificaly the 920.I have read some scattered reports and they seem somewhat even or am I out of my mind.Would it be an worth it to go with the FX-8150 as it is a newer tech or is it a wash?

Gaming: i5-2500k
Video editing, Folding, CPU intensive multi-threaded applications: i7-2600k.

For the price, efficiency and overclockability, there is no other substitute.

Hey, granted my 2600k does handle some stuff better and faster, my old 2500k did not struggle at all either!

Both amazing CPUs

The i7-920 puts the hurt on the FX-8150 in almost every test and the i5-2500k outperforms them both.

920 would go neck and neck with Bulldozer, and probably beat it non-highly threaded apps.

I'm talking the I7 920 Bloomfield not the new Sandybridge
