Reviews are everywhere, just google.

The Extreme4 Gen3 is the one to get, it is trully amazing for the price

I'm going SB because my wife really, really needs a new PC, NOW. It was either build her a cheap core i3 2100 or Llano system and then have to sell my current system when IB is available or give my wife my mobo/cpu/ram and do this. My i7 930 is lapped which will make it harder to sell and I figured if I buy the right SB mobo, I can sell my 2700K and pop in an IB if I want to. I don't need the power, but I'm becoming a true OCN'er.

I see lots of love for the ASRock. I'm starting to come around. I do see some issues with buggy USB 3.0 and horrible customer support if you actually have a problem. Thoughts? I also do like the idea of having the graphics on board available if I'm "between" video cards.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Keep them coming +rep to those who gave me suggestions so far.

I have had great luck with ASRock as well. 4 of their board on 4 different platforms and they all performed well beyond their price points. I have never had an issue with any of my boards, so I cannot speak to the customer support aspect. I highly recommend their stuff. Will be picking up another board as soon as I decide on a platform. Bought my 990 thinking about going with BD, but not jumping on that wagon quite yet. Likely will go back to Intel, but not sure when or with what.

I always get chip and mobo around same cost ,why cheap out? Have the newest chip then get newest mobo no point paying 500 for chip then 200 for mobo makes no scents to me but thats me.

Well, I've kind of already blown my budget spending an extra $50 on the 2700K over the 2600K. I don't think I'm going to get that much extra headroom out of a $300 mobo to justify the price. People seem to hit pretty high stable OCs on $200 range boards. However, I am warming up to the idea a little, but probably no higher than the ASRock Pro Fatality Z68 board that's around $250.

The new BIOS for the Asus V Pro is really nice and easy to navigate. It is something new, and it has a really good build quality. I haven't heard a lot about the ASRock, but I'm guessing they are starting to make high end motherboards. You should just give your comp to your wife and be without one until the IB comes out :] I guess it only depends if you want to save money though. Just wondering, is the difference between the 2700k and 2600k a big jump?

$55 difference on Newegg, $369.99 for 2700K vs $314.99 for 2600K. Newegg was the cheapest I found yesterday. Tiger Direct started at $399.99 and dropped to $379.99 once initial stock on hand was gone. They're showing 7 to 21 days shipping time. Amazon was at $381.86, but it wasn't immediately available either.

I don't know what's up with the reviews claiming their customer support is horrible. I've read other reviews where many people had a fantastic experience contacting them
