Battlefield 3 Crossfire/Performance issues? Complete list of known fix's here! 12.10 link inside! - Page 12

I can't play the game since I upgraded to these drivers.... It crashes when I go to change the video options. So frustrating.

Will someone please set up custom video options for medium with all special features turned off so I can copy the values to my setting/profile file? I'd really appreciate it.

I have installed the 11.1 and CAP1 drivers after using driver sweeper, but I still get this problem ( It has happened ever since the original BF3 release with the old drivers): I will be playing and every 7 seconds or so my controls will freeze like if I will try to look around a corner my mouse will stop and I will continue looking forward or I will be stuck strafing left or going forward and cant shoot. The screen doesn't freeze as I will be getting movement at 60FPS around me. If I disable crossfire it goes away. Is this extreme stuttering or what? It also doesn't happen to me in singleplayer, only in multiplayer.

Tell me about! It get killed so often because of it. I will usually play on my one 6950 with everything on ultra with AA off at 60 FPS fine, but I put the extra $200 in getting the second 6950 specifically for BF3. It was still a good investment for my other games at least. I have yet to uninstall and reinstall BF3 yet but I cant see it doing any good. Any ideas or even made up explanations would make me feel better smile.gif

Delete that file and run the game to start fresh. Just dial in you settings again. Also hw do you exit video options? Just press esc after setting then select yes when asked to save.

Mine crashes when i click on apply fullscreen resolution.

Ok, I just wanted to let everyone know that the latest 11.11 with CAP 2 is awesome, it runs BF3 flawlessly for multi GPU setups, 2x 5970 no stuttering of kind, I'm getting insane FPS utilizing all four of my GPU's really nice I'm happy.

I also noticed improvement in Skyrim.... it's not perfect but it's far better than previous releases hopefully CAP 3 will tie all the loose ends.

What file? I have exited by press esc then enter enter and clicking accept without any noticeable differences. I have never really had issues with BF3 crashing except in the very beginning of the release.

I just reinstalled BF3 and installed CAP 2 with results. BF3 is now playable with the controls only freezing a little bit every once and awhile. The issue is not resolved but is now at least tolerable. I have no idea which of the two things affected performance though. I probably should have tested one by one, ooops.
