Really blows. I think its BF3 but my performance isn't too hot in WoW or a few other games like Metro2033, FFXIV and Crysis 2.

Coming from nVidia, I am seriously disappointed in the drivers. I don't think you guys realize how 99% of the time nVidia drivers just work. Even if they are not full performance, the games work. You can play them. There is no ULPS editing, there are no fubared CAP, there is no mix and matching Drivers and CAPS for performance.

With this microstutter on SP and MP, the game sucks. Period.

Will have to wait for 11.11 and CAP5 now. Meanwhile, there a lot of 590 users having very smooth gameplay so maybe BF3 needs a patch to work better with AMD, but from what I am seeing its driver side. Otherwise the 11.10 / Cap4 wouldn't have increased performance.

This must be a 6990 issue, hopefully AMD will release a fix for you guys soon.

There seems to be an issue with Vsync. If i turn it on i get alot of stuttering and rubberbanding, but with it off the game runs smooth as butter at over 80FPS headscratch.gif:

Do you have triple buffering turned on in CCC?

I tried again with that enabled. though it was lessened i still had alot of stuttering. game is smooth as butter without vsync for me. probably an issue of micro stuttering introduced by limiting the dual-card configuration i have to 60fps

I don't have this issue.. here's something you can try though.

Make sure raw input is ON, and then set your player sensitivity to MAX. This can make the game run smoother, it's a known issue and hopefully will be addressed.

Thanks for the kind words guys, and glad this has helped you. I also appreciate everyone who's rep'd me, make's me know I helped! smile.gif

OP updated.

Cleaned up, and defined the other fixes section better. The bottom of the page is dedicated to other possible fixes/tweaks.

Added a new fix for stutter due to mouse set up.

Also changed the name to match the other thread in the GPU non-software section.

I'm playing the game on medium with all the fixes in this thread, and it's still around 60-70% usage on each GPU. If I crank the game up to Ultra I run it around 50-100 FPS, depending on the AA settings. At Ultra/Co-Op it will usually go to almost 100% but not at medium. Why?
