Build for friend

Thread Starter
Now here is another discussion about my lack of knowlege about builds.

I have a friend who is in dire need of a new computer. His computer was a good gaming computer like 9 years ago. All he wants to do is play minecraft with a 256x256 texture pack with far view on. Now i know that minecraft runs weird so what would be the bare minimum where he could acheive what he wants without spending tons of cash

I appreciate any help you can give

Budget? Whatever you end up building will play MC fine.

It's pushing it I'll admit. $400 and he has a semi decent PC. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...t=Combo.752482

That plus a a Corsair CX430 should be all he'd need, assuming he already has a case and DVD drive. Add $80 if not.
