Yep, but at least we know BD got a fair review. the guys are Phoronix are fairly scientific in their process and usually they run each test more then once to get mean averages. We also know that there is ZERO software/compiler hanky.

I wasn't defending anything. I posted a fiar review and I agree with the conclusions they made. the 8150 isn't a good value buy right now. If they drop the price $30 or so and move the other FX chips down range on pricing that'd be the sweet spots for performance as it sits today.

We all would have liked BD to bring more performance, but for a multitude of reasons it did not. Maybe the new stepping will bring some help and Piledriver might bring numerous fix's now that they know where the bottle necks are in the uarch.

Time will tell. There are still some very practical uses for this CPU however.
