New MoBo for AMD

Thread Starter
hello guys!
I'm thinking of buying a new mo'bo, and I'm not sure which I should buy.

I've closed my options to these:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3423#ov
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3901#ov

The difference between them in my country is about 35 dollars.
I want to know if the 990X worths the 35 bucks. (it has SLI\\CF and 32mm support) which I can use in the far future (2-4 years) because now I'm not really thinking of getting any new CPU or GPU... maybe SLI my 460GTX I dunno. but for now its just OC my CPU and RAM and GPU etc...
So is it really worth for future upgrade or will it get too old and be useless for far future upgrade?

and the most important thing I would like to know is: Would I have problems OC with this? I want to OC my system pretty hard and I dont want any other problems like I had until now, like VRM or underclock and voltage... etc.

Thanks in advance!

Advantages for the 990X model:

-heatsinked VRMs
-SLI support
-8x8x SLI/CFX (vs 16x4x)
-supports Bulldozer
-990X likely overclocks a bit better
-extra PCIe 4x slot
-sata ports are better laid out

I think it is worth $35.

I would also suggest the 990fx, you would be bummed if you buy a mobo that doesn't support am3+ now and you want to buy a bulldozer cpu later

What are you currently running? Enter your system specs here

In reality if you have a bad CPU, you might want to make the switch to intel. the i5-2500k dominates bulldozer and the i3-2100 is on par with the PII x6 1100T

I personally do not think Faildozer is worth it, I would more likely spend my money on an i5-2500K
