Thread Starter
Bought a 960t for my sig rig, so I needed to flash my mother board. But after using mflash I get black screen no boot. NEED HELP. Is there any way to recover bios? Or am I gonna have to rma? Only after I flash did I find out not to use mflash. Is there anything I can do?

You can try doing a blind flash, although I'm pretty sure it won't work. AMI and Award have different procedures for doing one, so just Google it. If the bios chip on the motherboard is replaceable, you can just get another bios chip and this would be the easiest solution. If the bios chip is soldered onto the mobo then you are out of luck and then you should RMA.

edit: just checked and you should be able to get the BIOS chip.

M-flash bricked my MSI 790GX, horrible program. MSI even recommends not to use it.

Yesterday I have. Tried AMIBOOT.ROM (cd and usb, don't have floppy drive or disks) w/ cntr+home. No response. The keyboard doesn't even light up. I think I'm gonna have to rma...ugh. I'm really leanning towards a swapping to a 2500k now which I didn't really want to at this time, hence why I got the 960t to extend my am3 system as long as possible.

From my own experience, once a board is bricked, might as well just hang it on your wall. Makes a great conversational piece.

Anyways, best of luck.

And just as an FYI, NEVER, even if someone threatened to kill you, and the rest of the world, flash from inside windows.

You guys are gonna want to crucify me for saying this but flashing from inside Windows is really fantastic. Turn off AVs extra programs and kill explorer. My last msi board I flashed 5 or more times using the liveupdate BIOS proprietary installer.
