Lot's of pixels. Early game and drivers.

Soon you should get better performance.

Okay, exact settings:

1080P
Ultra Preset (4xAA, 16xAF)
Motion Blur Off
AA Post Processing Off
HBAO/SSAO Off
Getting 50-75 FPS average across Operation Firestorm, Seine Crossing, both in Rush and Conquest Large (64 Players)

Backed down to 850/1700/2100MHz for temps/heat/fan noise.

I am SUPER comfortable with these settings. Looks great and very playable. HBAO/SSAO, AA Post Process and Motion Blur are detrimental to multiplayer competitiveness anyway IMHO (distracting, blurry and distracting respectively). 4xAA was worth it especially considering I'm 1080P over 32". -_-

Sig rig was @ 2.6GHZ and it was pretty much unplayable @ Low settings. Just got it to 3ghz and did some mild OC's on my 8800's and its ALOT better. Certainly not getting crazy fps, I'm hovering at around ~30-40 frames on average and it's actually playable. Occasionally, it'll dip below 20 but aside from that, I'm surprised this dual core can run it

This is @ 1080p.

My sig rig runs it at 77 FPS on average with High Settings and 1680x1050 resolution. I'll try running it at Ultra and get back to you on how it does. =D

50..65 FPS while playing at 1080p with High preset.

My old system suffers but is delivering a hell of a great experience.

I'm glad my 5850 stock fan died. I've fixed it by modding it to a zalman that gave me an extra 100 MHZ. I'm sure it helps keeping GPU above 40+ FPS under any conditions.

My CPU is busy @85..95% most of the time.

For having played many BF titles, I can say this release is very smooth and the engine is pretty well optimized already. That one is a killer.

Note : I'm using High preset.

Sig rig

Everything on pre-set Ultra (no settings changed at all) at 1920x1080. I'm hitting the v-sync maximum of 60fps with no problems at all.

Edit for GPU temps:

GPU #1 maxed at 58c at 88% usage. GPU #2 maxed at 53c at 99% usage. Didn't keep an eye on my CPU usage but the warmest any core hit was 65c.

Overall I'm extremely pleased.

My Q6600 at 3.2ghz with an overclocked 6850 runs it High with a few terrain settings on Medium and 16x AF, 50-60 fps BF3 at 1680x1050 no problem. This is without AA, HBAO and the other fancy stuff btw. This game is surprisingly optimized with my quad and video card running 90%+ usage almost all the time. Pretty balanced system I might say, made me hold off getting SB.
