Definitely consumes more than that, hence it using 4GB+ of ram and 2700MB+ of vram.

Ballathefeared posted a thread which shows his game using ~4GB+ as well.

Anyone on the 285.62s getting strange graphical issues after alt-tabbing out and back into the game? Some of my textures get inverted and don't go away until the map changes or I manually exit and re-enter the game.

BF3 was running super fast on my 570 OC 920 mhz. I averaged around 70 fps and I never had my fps go below 50. Earlier this morning it was running well. Now when I played it today. My fps is at 30- 25. I don't know what's going on.

With my sig rig, I get 50-60 fps on all high, with SSAO. Smooth as butter.
the question is, does it run better than the beta? also MY LAPTOP can run it with a dual core 1.7 GHZ CPU and a GT335m GPU. barely though.

Almost exactly the same Sig Rig as you with the same performance. Found a used soft-modded 6950>6970 and just picked it up at lunch. Will post X-fire 6950>6970 results tomorrow. I can't play at less than 60 fps... Sniping in this game requires solid FPS.

4.4ghz 2500k, P8P67 Pro and now 2x 6950 (Softmodded to 6970). Hyper 212+ cooler...
X-fire 6970 for $500... gotta love it.

I feel your frustration. Sometimes its buttery smooth, other times it's complete ****.

One thing that did help me overall was turn up the voltage on my GPU.

Runs good for me at High setting, it is around the same on Ultra for FPS but i just feel it is smoother on High.

So guys do I have any chance of playing bf3 adequately even on low settings and at 1280x720 with my specs?

Beta did not run good to the point where it got me killed many times so there should be my answer however there was a lot of lag from severs mixed in, not all graphic settings were unlocked, I couldn't tell any difference when I changed them so it didn't seem to take effect any changes and beta wasn't optimized.

Any hope now with the final release?

You're VRAM capped, try the High preset and work your way up by enabling ultra on things one by one until it starts stuttering again.

FOV = Field of Vision. Refers to the degree of viewing area you can see in front of you. 90 = 1/4 of 360. Anything higher will begin to "skew" the world around you on a single monitor so it can fit everything. 90 is a good setting, some people like 100-110 so they can see a little more.

All Settings at ULTRA, HBAO, no AA and with Vsync on, i NEVER see a drop below 60fps (60hz monitor) even in the most epic intense battles and explosions.

Soon as i turn even 2x AA on though, the game drops to 28-30 fps during battles and destroys the performance.
Try these settings, this is the max I was able to get away with on my 560Ti SLI setup without running into VRAM cap issues.
